DA454: 19" 2U Rack-mount Power Centre

Multi-purpose power centre in a 19" rack-mounting enclosure; intended for access control and CCTV use.

The unit includes a power supply and compartment to accommodate optional VRLA batteries. The power supply is fitted with 8 x 1A and 2 x 3A load outputs (8A max total load) for 12VDC models or 8 x 500mA and 2 x 1.5A load outputs (4A max total load) for 24VDC models. The load outputs have individual self-resetting fuses for protection, and PCB jumpers allowing individual selection of optional fire alarm control or remote switching.

Front panel access to terminations and a battery compartment to allow fast, compact and tidy installation. The product also features case tamper switch, mains-fail signalling, mains-on LED indication, battery back-up, battery low-voltage signalling and battery disconnect (deep-discharge protection).

10 Load outputs

Fitted with self-resetting fuses for low maintenance, two of the outputs are 12V 3A DC rated (24V 1.5A DC on 24V models) with the remaining eight outputs rated to 12V 1A DC (24V 500mA DC on 24V models).

Installer configurable outputs for remote control and fire alarm interfaces

Each output can be configured with an on-board jumper setting on the power supply to determine whether it is to remain powered or de-power when remote switching is triggered. The remote switching of the outputs is triggered when the Fire control power loop is broken and goes open-circuit.

Quick-release front cover with tamper micro-switch

Fitted with Dzus ¼-turn fasteners, the front tamper-switched panel can be removed for easy access to the battery compartment and output control PCB.

Houses and maintains a VRLA stand-by battery of up to 7Ah

The integrated UPS (Uninterruptible power supply) function maintains constant output power if mains power is not available. When mains power is available the unit will automatically float-charge the battery ready for use whilst continuing to maintaining power to the outputs.

Batteries are not included. This unit can be used with or without batteries fitted.

It is recommended for 24V models to have an external storage solution for batteries, such as the DA459.

Mains failure clean contact signalling

If mains-input power is not detected for approximately 30 seconds, the mains-fail switching contacts will change-over. This is ideal for switching equipment or signalling to other systems.

Low-battery clean contact signalling

If a battery is connected these switching contacts will change-over until the battery is nearing depletion or removed. Ideal for switching equipment or signalling to other systems.

Automatic low-battery disconnect deep-discharge protection

In the event of a prolonged mains power failure where the connected VRLA battery has been depleted, the battery will be automatically disconnected to protect against damage from deep discharging. When mains power is restored, the battery will automatically be re-connected and float-charged ready for use.
