DA250U
Safe Shunt Unit (Zone Omit). This unit is used to switch out (shunt) an active security system circuit thus allowing controlled access to a secure area. It is controlled by a remote, key-operated switch fitted outside the secure area. This switch is usually a mortice deadlock or a contacted lockplate fitted with a contact which operates when the bolt is thrown (Dantech part no DA223). This prevents false alarms as access to the secure area is only possible once the door is unlocked and the circuit is shunted.
The unit has separate alarm and tamper input loops and separate alarm and tamper output relays. An on-board sounder and Green LED give audible and visual indication of the state of the shunted circuit.
The shunted zone can only be switched back in if the alarm circuit is clear. An output is available to provide remote indication whilst the unit is shunted. 12V DC operation. Metal Cased.
